- See the Animals – Many zoos and aquariums are offering free livestreams and animal lessons during these times.
- Go for a Walk – Get out of the house and go for a walk around the neighborhood. Just be sure to keep your social distance from others.
- Start Baking – Enjoy creating something new with your little ones. Cooking also starts the basics of learning math so it’s a great practical math lesson as well.
- Practice Yoga – There are tons of family friendly yoga videos available for free on YouTube. Ge the family moving together.
- Living Room Karaoke – Grab a mic and sing along to your favorite songs in the comfort of your own home.
- Virtual Sight Seeing – Check out some of the amazing interactive maps online that allow you to explore new cities.
- Make a Time Capsule – Help your kids remember the family time you spent during these weeks with a time capsule they can open in the future.
- Check Out Some Virtual Museums – Museums all over the world are hosting virtual tours. Experience some amazing art together.
- Plant a Garden – You can build a garden in the back yard or plant some flowers or vegetables in pots on the deck. Either way, watching something you planted grow is a rewarding feeling for little ones.
- Take a Ride – Disney and many other theme parks are offering virtual rides from around the world.
- Connect with Family and Friends – Write a letter, call, or video chat with loved ones.
- Watch a Virtual Concert – Many musical artists are holding virtual concerts to entertain us while we’re home.
- Create an Art Show – give the kids a theme, like Spring time, and have them create any at they’d like surrounding that theme. Put the pieces up in the window or the front lawn for the neighbors to enjoy.
- Read Together – Reading is one of the most important things you can do to foster growth in your child’s education. Turn off the TV and take the time to read together every day.
